Good and Lovely Kiss
With the confederate flag being one of the most controversial American images in the past century, Lovely chose to include it in an inspirational Good and Lovely collection as the grouping is all about attraction and this visual indeed attracts attention. “Even as the years have washed the cause with vagueness,” Lovely says, “defiant ones continue to rankle at the thought of being told what to do, which still makes the flag an attraction (good or bad) today.” Artistically all the palette and treatment choices used cross-collection are included here, with the ombre hued outline around the stars and around the pink triangles, “causing a vibration of the primary color” and an electricity for the viewer.
